Lyla's Blends was born out of need for something better. As the mom of a child with a feeding tube, I had a love hate relationship with enteral feeding. Yes, it was saving the life of my beautiful daughter Lyla... but, I was exhausted. The seemly endless list of problems only seemed to grow as the years went by; chronic constipation, granulation tissue, vomiting, volume limitations, struggling to gain weight. I knew there must be a better solution than laxatives, steroid creams, and slower feeds. The answer to all of these issues was better food. I decided to start blending my own recipes for my daughter. Though I was a busy mom of five I found time to research, buy a freeze dryer, and find a way to premake nutritionally complete, calorically dense meals for my daughter. I could now easily pull out and administer daily real food. Within a week she stopped vomiting. Another month and her bowel movements were easy and regular (a huge win for potty training). She has not had any skin issues around her tube since the switch. Over the course of three months she doubled her volume tolerance for bolus feeds.Then something truly SHOCKING occurred...Her brain changed. The tantrums she had had regularly for the previous five years ended. This child who we were getting tested for autism or adhd suddenly didn't have those symptoms. She started to bloom socially and academically. She had energy and aptitude to live her life in a way she never had before. We were astounded, and have moved forward with joy.

How Lyla's Blends Works
Lyla's Blends is a nutritionally compleate powdered meal kit. It is intended to be used enterally (through a feeding tube). One kit is designed to last the entire day. Simply add the desired portion of powder to the liquid of your choice and mix until smooth (a blender bottle works great for this). You can then administer enterally as a bolus with a syringe, in a bag with a pump, or drink orally if desired.
Customize Your Meal
Instead of water try using a high nutrient liquid with your meal such as bone broth, coconut milk, or organic diary milk.
Ask your doctor or nutritionist about adding 1 to 2 tablespoons of high quality avacado or olive oil daily for added calories and healthy fat.
Helpful Tips
For optimal consistency using at least 8 oz of liquid per 4oz of powder is recommended.
Once mixed with liquid Lyla's Blends should be used within 2 hours or refridgerated immediatly and used within 24 hours.
